Tina Hall Montoya  opened her law office in January 2005 in Terrell, Texas and opened her second location in Rockwall, Texas in 2011.  Ms. Montoya has a general civil litigation practice and has worked on cases involving:  Divorce, Child Support, Custody, Name Change, Adoption, Guardianship, Bankruptcy, Social Security Disability, Personal Injury and Criminal and Family Law Appeals.  Ms. Montoya also helps clients with drafting and probating Wills as well as drafting other estate documents like Medical Power of Attorney, Durable Power of Attorney, HIPPA Release, and Health Care Directive. Ms. Montoya has also represented clients involving criminal indiscretions such as: possession of marijuana and controlled substance, driving while intoxicated, theft, assault, disorderly conduct, probation revocation, and traffic tickets.  Ms. Montoya graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Business Administration.  Ms. Montoya worked as a Legal Assistant for two years in a medium size law firm in Downtown Dallas before attending Creighton University School of Law.  Ms. Montoya tried her first divorce case in 2002, while working in the Milton R. Abrahm's Legal Clinic during her third year of law school.  Ms. Montoya serves clientele in the following areas: Dallas, Rockwall, Hunt, Rains, Van Zandt, and Kaufman counties.  Ms. Montoya has also represented clients outside of the Dallas Forth Worth metroplex on occassion for special situations.  Ms. Montoya's legal research and writing skills are superior to most litigation lawyers because of her appellate law experience.  Ms. Montoya was a member of Creighton University's Law Review and Co-Authored the following articles: Enforcement and Avoidance of Agreements, State Bar of Texas Advanced Family Law Course, San Antonio, Texas August 2007 and Controlling the Controlling Spouse–Mediation and Trial, State Bar of Texas Advanced Family Law Course, San Antonio, Texas 2008.  Ms. Montoya took a sabbatical in 2014 and lived in Honolulu, Hawaii where she enjoyed hiking, surfing, kayaking, and laying on the beach.
